Season 1
Entry 14: 13.03.23
Once again a long hiatus, but we bring some good news. APEX RACING IS GOING TO NATIONALS! We were extremely pleased with our success at regionals, 2nd place in the professional class and also Star Quality Portfolio winners. We look back on the event with pride and come out with the knowledge and feedback we need to improve for the national competition held in either June or January. Looking foward to more updates in the long break.

Entry 13: 05.10.22
Hello everyone. We are back!! It has been 7 months since our last entry, and we have some new things to announce. We can confirm that the team will be entering into the London North 2022/23 Regionals, with the UK Nationals and of course F1 in Schools WORLDS in mind. We are very excited to get going! We are doing very well in terms of progress, we have a completed Enterprise Portfolio, an almost manufactured car and wind tunnel, and ongoing work on our Pit Display and Verbal Presentation. Sadly coming into this year we have had to say goodbye to our Marketing Manager, Neerav who has had to leave the team. Taking up Neerav's role we have now got Laksh, who will maintain Neerav's work with the Verbal Presentation.
Thank-you to all of our sponsors for their continued support.

Entry 12: 10.03.22
Sorry for the long wait again, we are extremely busy over here at Apex Racing HQ. Car manufacturing has begun and we are having some issues which have meant we have fallen almost 2 weeks behind schedule which is unfortunate. We also have rounded up our second sponsorship round, taking us from 2 sponsors to 6 with significantly more companies supporting us and more money to aid with the project. We aim to start the third round of sponsorship today and close on the 30th March. This will be the final round of sponsorship.
Entry 11: 17.02.22
Once again a long wait, our apologies. We are going to try and implement a weekly post every Wednesday from now onwards. However, we have some good news. Physical car testing has begun and we are now almost finished with the Design Portfolio. Further, the Enterprise Portfolio is also more than 50% complete. Work has now begun on both the verbal presentation and pit diplay. A few website notices also:
Our Work has been removed
Community has been hidden
Store has been hidden
Good luck to all teams competitng in the regional finals as we enter the final couple of months before submission.
Entry 10: 24.01.22
3 weeks later and we are back. A quick message to let you know the team is hard at work, we have today been selected in internal qualifications. Each school is only perimitted to enter 5 teams but our school had 16 teams working to qualifiaction. We are the only Professional Class team to have been selected and we are really excited to get stuck in as we continue working towards our April deadline. Currently car physical testing has begun - we are manufacturing a wind tunnel and prototype wheels and bodies. Furthermore, both of the portfolios are also being worked on. We hope you are all staying safe and healthy.
Entry 9: 01.01.22
Happy New Year everyone. Just a quick one from me, we have just released the new Community Tab where you can make comments, suggestions or ask questions - find it here (https://www.apexracing,uk/community).
Entry 8: 31.12.21
Hi everyone. Hope you have all had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year! Over the past fortnight we have been working hard on completion of our portfolios. Serious work has gone into research, development and testing for the purpose of the engineering portfolio and all progress related to the car is now being carefully documented so it can be used at a later date. The ambitious aims we have set have been re-evaluated - now we plan to completed the Engineering Portfolio by Jan 18th, Enterprise Portfolio by Mar 1st, Pit Display planning by Feb 1st (with parts all in by Apr 1st) and throughout February and March we want to start manufacturing physical 3D-Printed models of our car for physical testing on-track and on our custom wind tunnel. I also want to try and keep to the once a week updates so see you next week!
Entry 7: 15.12.21
This week we have focused further on sponsorship and contacting companies who we feel would be beneficial in our F1 in Schools Journey. Moreover, we have started working on our Portfolios and Pit Display which are extremely important. Our aim is to complete the Portfolios by February and the Pit Display completely planned our by Mid-January and everything ordered and arrived by April.
Entry 6: 08.12.21
We have been working hard on sponsorship this week contacting companies that we feel would fit very well with our cause. So far we have had a few successes: SimScale and another company (to be announced soon). Further, progress on the car has been moving at an even quicker pace with more testing and development. For next week we aim to start working on portfolios and pit display related things.
Entry 5: 22.11.21
We are super excited to announce that Apex Racing is now sponsored by SimScale. SimScale is a piece of online software used for simulations of 3D models. We will import our CAD models from OnShape to SimScale and run CFD simulations to evaluate the car and find places for imporvement. You can check out SimScale at this link - we think you will really enjoy using their awesome product.
Entry 4: 21.11.21
This week the website has essentially been completed. The graphics, images and content for most pages are now ready and we have begun venturing out for sponsors to fund our project. We, the enterprise team, have also undertaken a little experiment - a new subdomain (https://links.apexracing.uk) is now accessible. The thought process behind this new domain is too keep traffic on our sight when redirecting people to various platforms, links and places of contact. The subdomain acts as a replacement for a service like Linktree but we can finetune it more and keep traffic on the site. You will slowly begin to see that site on social platforms (YouTube, Twitter and Instagram). This week we have also launched our new email. You can now contact us at contactus@apexracing.uk with a seperate email (sponsorship@apexracing.uk) for sponsorship related requests. See you next week!
Entry 3: 12.11.21
The website has seen some massive changes over the last couple of days. Now all the tabs are live (however the Home, Sponsorship and Contact Us are still in progress), you will see new graphics, buttons and placeholders where things are still being made or deliberated. Our graphic designer is now working on getting all the various icons, images and infographics and we hope the website will be fully live in a week or two. You can now also access our mailing list (using the button above) and we are planning on setting up a new RSS Feed for the site (although this could take some time). The site events.apexracing.uk is now gone and has been replaced with our new Events tab which you will see in the taskbar above. Furthermore, our Twitch and Twitter accounts are now live and a new sharper logo is being rolled out onto all platforms. Research for the car is now getting more and more interesting as the design team decide which methods are most aerodynamic and might benefit the car most.
Entry 2: 10.11.21
We have been working further on our website. Our YouTube platform is now live and development of the car is well and truly underway - various sketches, CAD models and concepts are been thrown around in these first stages of brainstorming. Concept trailers will be uploaded to the YouTube channel and events sub-domain.
Entry 1: 03.11.21
Our websites are now running as intended. We have settled on having a single main site - https://www.apexracing.uk as well as our events site which keeps a record of all of our previous and future events and how we have done - https://events.apexracing.uk. Previously we also had 3 more subdomains but have opted to get rid of these for a simpler experience for the end user. Most of the websites pages are still under construction for the time being.
